Will we ever be free of our desires?

Will we ever be able to just let things go?

Let them be in a world left behind?
Why must we keep the weight around ourselves?
The weight of a world not quite real.

Not quite what our dreams wish it to be.

It seems as though we will always carry on like this.

Like a sore in your mouth you can't seem to stop tonguing long enough for it to heal.

Can we not stop thinking of what we yearn for

long enough to let it become numb?

Can we not defy ourselves something so sought after

and live happily?
Are we destined to wonder

how things might have been?

Are we to forever be cought

in a state of perminant turbilance?

Life in this world is a curel fate

but only so for what we have made it

and for how we torture ourselves.

Is it our nature?

Our destiny to forever wallow

in the lack of self realization?

Can we not push past our pain?

Forget about our wrong doings?

For a slice of our own peace?

Within the confindes of your mind

is the most gruesome torture

you will ever experience.

Are you strong enough

to push past yourself?
