What exactly do you tell someone
who can’t get their life together?
It hurts to see them
throwing away opportunities
but how can you help
without offending them?
You can’t just say
“You’re ruining your life.
Wake up and get yourself together.”
Is there really anything
you can say or do?
My other half.
My partner in crime.
My support system.
The person who understands me the most.
The one who is always there.
No, I’m not describing my boyfriend.
I’m talking about my best friend.
A guy might buy you flowers
but your friends will make some
out of pipe cleaners,
get on their knees
and scream “I LOVE YOU!!”
in the middle of the Wal-Mart parking lot,
not caring who sees it.
No matter what you might hear about all these tragic
figures, and whole romantic image of the suffering artist,
suicide is not cool. It’s not heroic. It’s not romantic.
It’s like running away. Abandoning your family. And
leaving someone else to clean up your mess. Only, it’s
worse, because once you go there, you can’t come back
