I keep your picture on my wall,
So when I wake up I see you…
And I can try to imagine…
What it’s like lying beside you,
What it would be like…
When you whisper, “I love you”
And I imagine you right next to me…
To hold me through the storm.
I imagine you so close to me…
That I can hear your heart beat…
Louder than the thunder.
But then I slowly slip back to reality…
And remember how far away you are.
I turn the music up louder…
With every roll of thunder…
And try to face the fact…
That I’m here alone…
As I hold myself...
through the storm.
