I can't switch back and forth between my activities on line and Gaia anymore. There is so much to do: emails to be sent, monies to be sent, calls to be made, legislators to haunt, anti-war activites and vigils to organize. I'm going to take a break from Gaia. I lived in New Orleans, for one thing, and I studied as a Biology graduate student the consequences of a Category 4 hurricane. That was in 1983. I understand that President Bush consistently vetoed ALL monies spent to build to defend against this disaster. He had so much blood on his hands already and his ill-gotten presidencies have torn this world apart with bombs, land mines, stealing monies for the poor to give to the rich, wasting our planets air, water, and natural life. How long will it take for us to not only heal from New Orleans, but, how long will it take for the USA and Iraq to heal from this war? How long will this planet take to heal from it's abuse in the name of empire? cry
