A Vampire's Heart
Chapter 7
A howl. A loud howl awoke Wesley from his sleep.
He crawled over to the window and called for the wolves nearby.
"Go to the castle of King Vex and Queen Cara. Make sure everyone's alright.
Then go find a girl named Aya, she can understand you, tell her that the Tempter demon is there and that Angel is still in here with me. Tell them their in danger. Hurry!" Wesley whispered to the wolves. The leader of the pack made one final howl and they went running off into the woods.
"Will this work?" Angel asked.
"It has to." Wesley sighed. "If not, we're gonna fail."

"Jaine, what's wrong?" Angel asked walking up to me.
"It's nothing Angel. I just asked Vex if you could stay with me in my room." I lied.
"Really? You look upset though." He starred at me closely.
"That's just because Corona and Vex don't like us being together." I said, and that wasn't really a lie, Vex and Corona both thought he was messed up.
Angel was silent for a moment, then as I went to go into my room, he spoke up.
"Jaine, run away with me!" He said.
I froze.
"What?" I whispered looking at him.
"Let's run away! No one would be in the way, we could start a new life! You and me Jaine!" Angel walked over and took my hands.
"Please?"
I looked at him, he was serious.
"But, I'd be betraying everyone, my mother, and Vex. The war, I can't do that Angel." I said.
"Come on Jaine! This war is pointless, and besides, you havn't even been here very long." Angel said. I looked up at him.
"That's true, I was a vampire hunter barely 2 monthes ago, and I still don't know everything about being a vampire......Maybe I'm just in the way......" I thought.
"So?" Angel asked.
I looked at him.
"Alright, let's do it!" I smiled.
"Excellent, you go pack and sneak out the back way and wait for me in the nearest cave you can find!" Angel smiled, kissed me and left.
My heart was pounding as I went to pack up.

Wesley was awoken once again, but this time to the sound of laughing.
Riley was on the phone down the hall.
"Excellent, as soon as that girl is out of the picture, we can have a chance to ambush them." He sneered happily.
Wesley listened closely.
"What? That's not good....... really? Well, take care of it now then. We can't afford to waste any time. I'll send a bregade out as soon as I can........ in a cave? Where?.......... alright, thank you." Riley hung up, and looked at Wesley with an evil smile.
"Now what are you planning?" Wesley growled.
"Oh, nothing really brother, except the extinction of all royal vampires!" He smiled.
Wesley scowled.
"Vex and Corona are begining to become curious with my leader, so Angel suggested to the princess that they should run away together and live happliy ever after!" Riley looked at Angel as he spoke. Angel was discusted.
"If you do anything to Corona I'll kill you!" He snarled.
"If you're not dead yourself by then." Riley said, and looked back at me.
"Have fun."
Then he walked away.
The room was slowly beginning to fill up with gas.
"Wes? What's wrong?" Angel asked as he colla[sed to his knees.
It was silver..... pure silver powder.
"S....silver...." Wesley fell onto his side.
"Wesley!" Angel gasped.

I was sitting along in the cave, my heart beating wildly.
"I can't believe I'm doing this." I thought.
Then after a long silence, I could'nt help but think of Vex and the war..... and how much they worried bout me already.
"What am I doing? I can't do this......." I whispered.
I stood up and without grabbing my stuff I ran outside of the cave, and right into an ambush.
My heart stopped beating as I looked around, encircling me were dozens of werewolves in human form and wolf form.
"What?!" I gasped, I tried to fight them off, but there were too many, and with one hard blow to the chest, I became unconscious.
