A Vampire's Heart
Chapter 6
"Angel?! How'd you get out?!" Haine laughed as I walked up with him.
"While Wesley was fighting Riley I was able to slip away. I found Jaine hiding alone, so I brought her away from there. She's not hurt." Angel smiled.
"That's a relief, but is Wesley alright?" A voice asked. It was Vex.
"Welcome back Angel, I'm glad you're alright."
"Thank you you're majesty." Angel smirked over at me.
"Hmm... Angel's never been that formal, he must still be upset from Riley." I thought.
"Angelus!!" A gasp came, it was Corona! She ran over to him.
"You're alive?! And not hurt!" She smiled. A small tear began forming around her left eye.
"Yes. I'm alright." Angel said and smiled over at me.
Corona blinked.
"That's it? That's all you're gonna say to me?" She whispered.
Angel looked over at me.
"Come on Jaine, you must be hungry. I know I am." He smiled and took my hand.
Corona watched us leave with bewilderment on her face.
"She must like him or something....." I thought. Then I smiled as I remembered Angel telling me he loved me.
Happily, I followed Angel into the castle.

All day long Wesley was trying to break down the door.
"Wesley! Stop! You're going to kill yourself!" Angel snapped.
With one last hit, Wesley fell to his knees.
He split his head open slightly headbuting the door.
"I'm surprised you're not dead, that door is metal not aluminum." Angel sighed.
"How could he do that?......... he's so heartless....." Wesley whispered on the verge of tears.
"Wes, don't worry. One of them is bound to figure it out sooner or later. Someone has got to figure out that that's the Tempter demon and not me." Angel said.
Wesley looked around his cell and suddenly he gasped.
There was a window!
"Of course!" He thought.
Forcing himself to stand, he limped over to the window.
It was bared and running on electricity, and the bars were covered in silver oil, toxic to werewolves, so Wesley couldn't touch it, but when night came, he could always keep in contact with his wolf compainions.
"I'm so stupid....." He thought sat down and waited for night to come.

"You are not eating Jaine." Angel said.
I looked up at him as he ate.
"It's funny, being locked up with Riley and that demon must've built your appetite.
I've never seen you eat meat before." I said.
Angel's eyes opened and he looked at me in mid bite.
"Well, I eat it once in a while, they starved me over there." Angel said.
I sighed and began eating.
"It must've been horrible for him." I thought.
"Jaine?" Corona walked up slowly glancing at Angel.
"Yes?" I looked at her.
"Vex and I would like to talk to you." Corona said.
I looked at Angel, he frowned, but nodded.
I stood up and followed Corona.

"Jaine, there's something wrong with Angelus." Vex said to me.
"What do you mean? He seems fine to me."
"No, there's definetly something different about him...... He doesn't show any feelings towards me anylonger..." Corona said softly.
"What?!" I gasped.
"Angel and Corona were in love Jaine, and now he's not showing her any affection?
That's odd to me, should be to you as well." Vex said.
"Well........" I decided not to mention him saying he loved me.
"Well, maybe Riley somehow erased his memory or hurt his brain so he forgot some things!" I said.
Vex and Corona looked at each other.
"Would that be possible?" She asked.
"It's possible, but for some reason, I think there's something else." Vex said.
"Allow me to watch him for you then!" I offered.
Corona and Vex looked at me.
"If there is something wrong with him, I'll figure it out and try to help." I said.
Vex looked over at Corona, she was scowling.
"I accept your offer Jaine, Corona?"
"I'll accept only because you have sire," Corona said then glared at me.
"Don't do anything to him!" She warned.
I nodded, holding my breath.

"Come on, come on!" Wesley sneered. "Why can't time go faster?!"
Wesley was still waiting for night to come.
"You all better still be alright!" He thought.
