She is now apparently giving to solos to undeserving, underaged, no-good twats, and giving pointe shoes and tutus and company privilages to anyone willing to fork over the money.
Well, that's retarded.
Lets take Meghan, she's 8. Upon her 8th year of life, she was given a tutu (and when I say given, I mean she was ripped off for like $500.), and not to mention many "big girl" privilages. Now, she's still 8 and this year Ms. Nancy is supposedly giving her a solo. Yeah, good idea.
Now, let's look at my dancing resume. I started dance when I was 2 1/2. From then on, I have faithfully danced with Ms. Nancy through 12 recitals, this up-coming one being my 13th. I received my pointe shoes when I was 8 1/2 or 9..I can't really remember. My first recital with pointe shoes was 2004, the year the company did "Fame". After that, I was perfectly happy just dancing. I never ever asked for anything else than what I had.
Later, in 2007 (when I was in 8th grade) , Ms. Nancy put me as the lead character of the recital entitled "A Severly Fractured Fairy Tale". In that year's show, Ms. Nancy gave me a solo. I don't know why she didn't pick an older girl to play the part, but I think she thought I deserved it...and I did. But, I didn't get any say in my solo so I don't really count it. But, for the sake of this, I shall also mention that the year before, in 2006, the show was called "For the children" which I also had a large role in. That year, I did not technically have a solo, but I did lead other girls in a dance that Ms. Nancy made up for me.
Anyway, the next year was the year that I would finally get everything - a real solo, a real tutu, and more room to make decisions. After all, girls were supposed to have to wait until they were a Freshman in high school to get all of these things. And I waited my turn. Always.
Now, tiny little people I don't even know are looking for solo music while hobbiling around on pointe in a flipping tutu.
Awesome.
Anyway, I know Ms. Nancy is being totally unfair, and yes, I'm a little angry about it.
But really, it doesn't matter what I, or anybody else thinks because Ms. Nancy is going to do whatever Ms. Nancy wants. And Ms. Nancy wants more buisness, so she's hoping we'll all tell our friends about how awesome everything is at the studio and they'll come with their mommy's check book ready.
So, all we can hope for in people like Meghan is that she'll do her solo, badly, I might add, get the recording and realize how incredibly stupid she looked up there. And then she'll see all the girls who worked for everything (like myself..and no, I'm so not bragging here..haha) and realize that she'll never be able to do what we did and then she'll quit. Yay.
Also, on the night of the Griselda show, Katie and I were sitting in in the house waiting for our parents. That's when Katie told me that she didn't even like dance and that her mom just made her come so she could write stuff for Ms. Nancy. I'm not making this up at all. And now I see her all excited about getting a solo.
WHY BUY THE COW WHEN YOU CAN GET THE MILK FOR FREE?
In other words, why work so hard when you can just beg Ms. Nancy until she breaks?
Oh well.
I don't have to associate myself with those girls. And I'm not going to.
Anyway, K-fed and I were totally at Splashtown yesterday and K-fed totally threw up while we were eating a bunch of evil junk food, sitting by the boob shack/hut.
That's all, but I thought it would make an attractive and interesting title.
OHH! AND MY EPIC-SEMI-ANNUAL-BIRTHDAY-CELEBRATION-SPECTACULAR IS HAPPENING REALLY SOON..LIKE, LESS THAN A WEEK!
