It's so lonely round the fields of Athenry..

Ordered upgrade set #2, today. A new motherboard, processor and videocard are on the way.

It's still rocking the budget land, but they're fierce.



Motherboard: MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI
Socket 939, X2 compatible, Nforce chipset.
Onboard soudblaster (with seperate processor EMU 101k) so I get quality sound without a CPU hit. 8 channel. Snazzy as all ********. SLI Compatible.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200
2.0 ghz, only a small jump, since I'm pushing a 2.8 right now, but I needed to mve on to socket 939, and I previously didn't have the budget for that. So, up we go.

Videocard: MSI Geforce 6800 128Mb.
Not the newest, or snazzyest, but it hits my price range just right, and it will outperform my older geforce 6600. Plus, it's PCI-E, as opposed to AGP. AGP is being phased out rather rapidly, sadly, so.. I had to step up to PCIE.. Luckily, in 6 months or so, It will be cheap enough to buy a second one, and SLI the ******** to keep my system up.

So, there goes a paycheck or two.. or three. Well, there goes my money. Last upgrade until Logitech releases that sexy, sexy keyboard.
