She fell in love.
Every time I hear this song, I think of my lesbian roleplay character Myra. Because it suits her so well, and the song never actually says that "Miss Independent" falls in love with a man, just that she falls in love.
Myra is petite and energetic, with a very forceful presence. She is also the head of a matriarchal sorceress clan. She is very cynical towards men, especially after her sister's failed marriage and her own personal experiences.
So Myra does the whole angst thing, then she meets another woman by the name of Sahara Raven. Long story short, Myra and Sahara get married, and Myra gets artificially inseminated twice by Sahara's brother, and the three of them raise two very cute girls together.
And I'm rambling, aren't I. Ah well. S'almost midnight in my time zone, I've got an excuse.
