A little girl on the side of the road
Sad teary eyes and a little doll in hand
Has a story
Like you
Like me
Has her hope inside
Though we all know not for long
She has her charm

She will grow up one day
Will become her own person
Be who she wants to be

A woman
Be happy and prosper
And cry at night all alone in her little room
Wonder what made it all happen this way
Where she could have chosen differently
And she will find smiles in memories
Smiles that will fade as she falls off to sleep
Memories of a little, sad faced girl on the side of the road with her doll
Sleep her fitful sleep
And wake-up a successful woman once more
