A House Divided
She was from the north,
He, the south;
She was a Catholic,
He was a Baptist.
They loved
Till the
Drugs
Alcohol
And
Smoke
Got in the way.
Now we truly are

A poem I did to kind of reflect what I'm going through. Things have been kind of rough... but I'm trying to forget about them and focus on other little trivial things. My friend left me in my time of need, and my life is changed. But I'll get through it.
I also met this guy-- Gill. The first day I herd what was going down, I just needed to go... so I did. I ran down my street as fast as I could, and a car came driving up. Theres a little intersection, and as he was turning he stopped. Well I stopped to, not wanting to seem odd, breathing rather hard. he asked,
"Hey, Why are you runnin' so fast?"
He had an amazingly kind smile, so I decided to answer.
"Just felt like running."
He laughed, "I See. Whats your name?"
I, out of fear, lied... though now I wish I hadn't. I said,
"My name...? Its... Ann."
He smiled again, though I'm sure he knew it was a lie.
"My names Gill. See ya around, Ann."
And he was gone. Now, every time I'm walking from the bus or something I always wish Gill would pull up again... and think hes one of the few thats showed me a kindness in this hard time.
