A Vampire's Soul
Chapter 6
"You better still be alright Max. We're comeing." I thought.

"Wesley?" Aya whispered when Chris and Dominic left the room. She saw him breatheing hard as he opened his eyes.
"What?....." He whispered in awe as he looked around. "Where am I?..." he whispered then saw Aya tied up with wires in her.
"Aya!" He gasped. "What are they doing to you?!"
"They're doing tests on me." Aya pinned her ears down and flicked her tail in annoyance.
"Why?" Wesley gasped.
"Becasue I'm a crossbreed between a neko and a vampire." She sighed.
Wesley cringed as he tried to sit up.
"Don't move Wesley! Lie back down!" Aya snapped.
"Why am I here? Shouldn't I be rotting away on the cage floor in my own blood?" Wesley asked in bewilderment. "I thought they wanted me to die."
"They do want you dead Wes, they're only healing you because I told them to."
Aya sighed. Wesley looked at her closely.
"Why would they listen to you?"
"They need me for their research, alive. I threatened them, saying I'd kill myself if they didn't heal you." Aya whispered.
Wesley look mortified.
"You said you would kill yourself?! Aya, that's completely insane!"
Wesley snapped. Then he screamed from pain and collapsed on the bed.
"So what? Am I healed now? I'm not in danger anymore?" He asked after a long silence.
"No, after you heal they'll put you back in the cage for the punishments.
They'll keep diong it until you die." Aya sighed.
Wesley nodded slowly and looked into Aya's eyes from across the room.
"I miss Max." he whispered.
"I miss him too." Aya whispered back, a single tear fallig down her cheek.

"Vex! Wake up! Wake up sweety!" I felt my mom shaking my shoulders softly as I opened my eyes, I had a spliting headache.
"What?" I asked groggily.
"You must've had quite the nightmare. You were screaming so loudly I think the entire hotel is awake now. You alright?" my mother asked me, a concerned look in her eyes.
"Yeah, I'm fine mom. I have a headache, but that's it."
"Of course you'd have a headache, I would too if I was screaming like you were."
My mother smiled to lighten the mood.
I smirked.
"I got a message from your father this morning."
"Really?! Is it about Aya? Or Max?" I asked sitting up, my head spinning.
"Yes. He told me that Aya and the wolf are still alive."
My heart pounded in gratitude.
"But-" my mom began.
"But! But what?!"
"Let me finish, stop interupting!" my mother silenced me.
"But Aya is being researched on. There is a warlock named Christopher who is teaming up with the wolves and he is running tests on Aya because of what she is, or in another word, because of what you made her into Vex." my mother said. That made my heart sink.
"The wolf has been badly injured and is being tortured by his own kind. He is in intensive care right now but will soon be going back to the cage." my mom said.
"What about Max?!" I asked.
"Max?" Haine sighed. My heart stopped.
"He is alive still." she concluded and I began to breathe again.
"Cara has given him plenty of water and food to keep his blood pumping, but Jake told me we have to get him to Victor as soon as possible." my mom stood up.
"Get dressed Vex. We'll reach Max and Cara by this afternoon." my mom left the room.
(If you're wondering about how Jake figured out all that, Jake has a new skill.
Since he is a vampire king, he is now semi physcic. Cool huh?)
I quickly got dressed and ran out the door.
"So, did dad say anything about Jaine?" I asked, catching my mother off guard.
"Yes actually. She is still in denial that she's a vampire now and she keeps trying to kill herself. Vincent is guarding her with Angel. They are both very devoted guards!"
My mother smiled. I smirked.
-------noon--------
We finally reached the cave. I ran right to Cara.
"Vex! You're alright! I was so worried!" Cara hugged me tightly, but she was crying.
"Cara?" I released her. She didn't look at me. "Cara? What's wrong?!"
"It's Max." She whispered. "He stopped breatheing and I can't get him to breathe again!" She screamed.
My mother instantly ran into the cave.
Cara clung onto me, crying.
"Tell me what happened." I asked, Cara was looking into the blackness of the cave.
"Cara, my mom will take care of Max, tell me what happened." I said.
"I was rubbing some water over Max's head to calm the fever down, when he started gasping and his eyes were black abd bulging! He went blue and I tried so hard to help him, but he wouldn't breathe!" she cried.
Finally, my mother came back out of the cave with Max in her arms.
"He'll be alright, for now. Let's leave now. The sooner we get him to Victors the better."
