I was watching old cartoons online last night and I decided to watch an old show I remember from my youth right? I'm watching some episodes rememembering how much I liked this show as a kid and then BOOM! I get to the final episode.

It was one of the most depressing things I've seen in a kid show yet. The episode starts and you see David and his wife Lisa pack up their belongings and begin to talk about how when Gnomes reach 400 in age, they go off to the Mountains of Beyond to die. And the rest of the episode is them saying good bye to their friends and traveling to their final resting place. In an emotional good bye between David and Lisa their lifes go bye bye as their bodies turn to trees, and their spirits give a final wave towards their fox friend Swift and move on to what ever Heaven Gnomes have.

I mean, C'MON! That's entirely to depressing for a kid show to end man. Though as an adult I can say it was a good ending, but kids would be to little and boohooish to understand much of it other than the fact that David and his wife were dead.
