Though, we have been seeing more of each other in the last year or so than I can ever remember. Instead of visiting Dad, in what seemed like against her will, like when we were younger, or only seeing each other for the important stuff (weddings, Dave's Bar-Mitzvah, etc.), we're seeing them just because.
"Hey, we'll be in the area. Want to get together?"
"Hey, the kids are going to be in town for a couple of weeks while we move. Want to have them over for a bit?"
Alison and Dad aren't avoiding each other anymore. He doesn't see her as an irresponsible little girl who only calls when she's in trouble. She, I think, doesn't see him as such an overbearing a*****e anymore, though I could be wrong.
Progress. I love it.
EDIT:
Disneyland pictures from yesterday should be up soon. I couldn't find the camera all day. Turns out it was right under my nose.

Sososo, here's the pictures. biggrin
We started out the day late. Not so bad really. Dad got a little grumpy, but when isn't he?

The kids were begging for water rides and fountains, so Dave and I suggested the Marble. They loved it. xd

Waiting in line for the Matterhorn we got a treat. Mickey climbing the mountain with Minnie and Goofy to encourage him.

So triumphant. Kaeli got a kick out of it. Poor Jameson was in the bathroom, so he missed it.

It was only 4 in the afternoon, and already waiting in line was boring me and Dave. Lucky enough for us Pirates had airconditioning.

I felt we had too many serious pictures, since Dad was taking most of them, so I pulled the kids and Dave aside while in line for the Jungle Cruise and told them to be silly. Denise hopped in at last minute. xd

I have no idea why I took this picture. I just did. =/

Disney castle at sunset. Much prettier in person.

Finally, and without further ado, the prettyprettyprincess. surprised

I love that picture. 4laugh
Payback for all the things he did when we were growing up.
Dad told me to post it on the internet. So parent approved. surprised
