A lot of wires were re-arranged at the Internet facicities last week which caused a lot of outages. xd Hope to be done with that soon.
The new diskless servers are finally here. Now servers are easy to install and mantain. 20 new servers had been added, and soon we will have much more. Yay for speed~
On top of all the hardware changes, focus is still on bug fixes for me while others are working hard on Gaia Towns. Some should notice that the arena rankings are working once again, and some pages in the arena should be faster also.
All the new servers that were added pulled too much power which blew out the circuit breaker, and 1/3 of the Web Servers went down two days ago. gonk There's always something to remind us that expansion is never an easy task. sweatdrop
There had been some strange problems with the domain name server. I hope to have it fixed ASAP

Speaking with Chocolate Flavor Vanilla creator of 'Things to come on gaia' a thread informing you and other users about things yet to come to Gaia.
Interview questions:
1. How are you today^^?
I'm good thank you very much 3nodding
2. How do you receive this information?
I get this info by researching, looking around and checking places, a big chunk of this info actually came from an online encyclopedia, and all the pictures were from a guild.
3. Do you think these events will make Gaia a better place to be?
Well actually I kind of dread the fact that the release of the battle system will make gaia more prone to noobs and people not even checking the forums, could be the downfall, but then again it could be the uprising this place needs.
4. What's your favorite upcoming feature?
I am actually looking forward to the class system myself, it looks very interesting.
5. Do you think the Battle system will create problems?
As a matter of fact I do, it will attract more people, put strain on the servers and draw people away from the forums.
6. With all of this battle system talk where do you think that places the forums in the Gaian society?
I'm thinking that the forums will probably be placed last, the admins might even start to take first priority in the battle system instead of the forums and it may become dusty and un-updated, but you never know.
7. How did you become interested in these events?
Well, one of the systems is due at the end of this month, but I'm guessing the admins are busy with the recent problems in the forums, so I would say anytime from sept to next year. I have always been interested in bringing people up to date, in fact I have always wanted to be a reporter on Gaia, so I guess this was just a little jump forward for me, I myself am not all that interested in the future, but more in the present.
8. Who do you hope reaching with this information?
I hope to reach anyone with an open ear and is interested, I think this would be valuable information to lots of people.
9. Will you keep posting advances in upcoming events?
I may, and I may not, I will probably find something else important to my fellow gaians and try and spread the word that way with that.
10. With all of these new features do you think Gaia is getting too specialized?

11. What are your other projects going on?
Right now, I have no projects sweatdrop I have a quest, a lotto and am trying to get a guild going, either than that, I am waiting for another lead to report on.
12. Why do you do it? Why do you feel the need to create informative threads?
Oh yes I do, I love to inform, it's my dream to inform people (weird eh) although my future seems to be heading towards something else IRL

Recently i've noticed that many people, mostly with *alot* in their name have been deciding to leave Gaia. And why? Maybe they lost an item. maybe it was too much lagg thay could handel. Or maybe it was the damn greed that everyone had insted of friendship like we did in the old days. I remember the first few months of Gaia it was DeathShadow, Arwen, sdelven, Foolmonsta, garoad, Angsty Shem...A whole crew of people... and we all earned out gold the old fashiond way. Posting. Talking to people. But now this whole.. Gaian Exchange has come into play and I see less talking, more greed... more people leaving. The GE is moving very fast and prices keep fluxating. People are constantly useing their gold for things that they can almost never reach and when they do they hate themselves because they gave up everything for one thing. Sure, Lanzer and CO wants gaia to be..BIG... a BIG community. Thats why the Exchnage was created but now there is the Market Place. Same as the GE, only not as...I dont know? Fast Moveing? The Marketplace {TM} is exactly like the GE, only there are less topics about the items they are selling. So why dont they just GET RID of the GE? I dont believe there is a true answer to this but my beliefe is that people might have a problem with haveing to spend 1K on a vending pass. 1k? Some still have a hard time makeing that and others are juty like "1K? I can make that in 5.". So maybe thats a reason.
Point Blank. if you want to talk, go to Commernce or the Chatterbox. Most of the GE Auctions ans Selloffs are just for when People are leaving and want to give items away or auctions that turn into big topics where everyone starts to talk. Want to make a deal? Do it in the MARKET PLACE. Its the same as the GE.

Oh okay. I was hacked not long ago and those who know me..well, they know what I almost lost and let me tell you it wasnt pretty. But eventhough I lost all of that, I wouldnt have left. i would have stayed because I have an obligation the the friends I have made and the thread I am the overlord of.
but I see people..LEAVING because they lost..some 100-700K items or theire haveing troubles with their online woman/man or something theyre questing for just skyrocketed in price.
THis is the..stupidest reason to leave Gaia. SO STUPID. Its like what you have acomplished on Gaia means NOTHING to you. Is that true? Then dont leave over a bad day. Stick it out and be strong. Dont become weak and leave all you have over a few lost pixel items. Not worth it.
And sure, gaia isint much fun anymore because of all the greedy Gaians but make it fun for yourself. I have FFW. What do you have?

Inventory Problems
If you have been having troubles with your inventory please note that this is a glitch and hopefully all will be fixed soon. There are some workarounds. Just go to the Q&A and look for Jakobo's Announcements.
