a bit of trivia for you ::: Ryder has an odd obsession that never quite left him from childhood. Even as the years went by he still hasn't outgrown his love for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Stuffed animals, bed set, slippers, posters, movies, tv series, lamps, light switch, comics; you name it and he's most likely bought it in TMNT merchandise.

What do the Maple Creek teenagers know about Ryder Nathan Garson? Besides the fact that he's the most selfish, crazy a** drunk in the entire school? Not much. People know that he drinks underage -after all, in high school, who doesn't?- but he drinks more than your average underage drinker. This young teenager is an actual alcoholic, more or less. And don't even think of trying to change him. A rumor started out a year ago about a girlfriend of his who tried to get him to quite drinking...The rumor said that he beat her so badly that she had to move to another school. It has never been confirmed, though...Still, knowing Ryder's personality, more people than not believe the rumor to be true. A lot of people avoid him because of this, but it's hard to keep away from this young man for too long. Good looks can get you anywhere in life, it seems. Even though he's a "freak" a lot of people also consider him quite popular, all things considered.
If you ever need a smoking buddy, people know who to call. They say, another rumor, that he's a drug lord, but, again, that has yet to be proven true or not. Still, whenever there's a party, most likely it's Ryder who is throwing it. And what is a party without drugs and alcohol? To Ryder, it isn't a party at all! Sex, drugs and rock and roll! That's all this boy seems to need to keep him happy. The longest relationship, everyone knows, was a total of three months...and everyone, besides his girlfriend, knew he was cheating. He has committment problems, almost everyone knows that. If it seems like things are getting too close, he ends it.
Everyone knows about his god awful temper though. It's like a forest fire: quick to ignite and hard to put out. The simpliest of things can set him off, especially when he's drunk and someone denies him something he wants. Everyone knows to avoid him when he gets into one of these "moods". Otherwise, they're looking to probably get in a fight -man or woman, it makes no difference to this violent young man. If someone were to say Ryder could be a softie, people would laugh in your face and tell them that they must be talking about a different Ryder Garson. This one is the farthest thing from a softie you will ever find...
