A poem I wrote for a friend quite awhile ago. I wrote this on paper after I tried writing it on my computer and had all the problems and whatnot. Life is lie, just gotta keep moving forward. So. this is actually take two of my poem.
I just want you to know that I never meant to hurt you or to break your heart
But you just have to know that my world was falling apart
I've never been content to be a secret, your paramour
And all the thoughts in my head were just driving me to the floor
it's not that i didn't love you, it wasn't just the pain
it's all the crazy feelings that just keep taking over my brain
Your life is so precious, your heart is full of light
And even though i'm not there, i know you can make it through any plight
My heart is made of glass and my brain is full of feathers
it's hard for me to stay around without any tethers
You know, I still think about you almost every night, the words you poured into my ear
I can't even lie to you, there are times I wish you were here
but, I'm so happy to see the smile back n your face
Knowing that you're happy allows me some measure of grace
I'll always love you, there will always be a spot for you in my heart
It's a part of me nobody can take apart
My dear, i'm so happy for you
