An Adolescent Vampire
Chapter 6
"I.....need....blood!" I panted. At the corner of my eye I saw Jake and Max flinch. Then it all happened at one time. My heart pounded, it felt like it was about to burst. I clutched my head and collapsed to my knees screaming in pain.
"Haine!" Max tried to run to me but Jake stopped him.
"Don't Max! She's going into bloodlust! Even though she can't drink from us she can still kill us!" I heard Jake scream. Slowly my consciousness was fading away.
I growled and my eyes began loosing sight. And the last thing I saw was me running after Jake. With no control over my body, and an urge to kill.

I awoke in a small room. My head was throbbing, I didn't even remember what happened last night. I sat up in bed and looked around. I saw Jake sleeping on a sofa, but I didn't see Max anywhere. "Jake?" I called groggily.
He awoke and looked at me.
"You're awake? Took you long enough." he smirked.
"What happened last night?" I asked. Jake's smile faded.
"You really scared me Haine. That was the first time I've ever seen you go into bloodlust."
"Where's Max?" I asked. Jake sighed.
"Max is downstairs. He's still healing from what you did to him."
"What happened?! What did I do?!" I gasped.
"You went to attack me and Max pulled you off of me. He tried to calm you down and tried to feed you a rabbit, but you pinned him to the ground and raked his stomach wide open." I gasped at that.
"Is he alright?! Will he live?!" I asked.
"I hope he does. We're on the run again. Not just by your father eithar." Jake sighed.
"By who?!" I asked.
"Xavier is after us again. He tried to capture Max last night."
"That means they know where we are!" I relized. Jake nodded.
Then he looked at me. "Haine, I'm sorry I got you into this. If I never met you you'd still be a normal girl, living a normal life. I've ruined your future." He sighed.
"No, Jake. You didn't. You're my best friend! And I can still have a pretty good future!" I smiled. Jake looked into my eyes.
"What?" I asked, but he didn't answer me back. Instead, I felt his lips attach to mine. The kiss surprised me for a moment, but after a few seconds, I kissed him back, enjoying every moment of it. When we parted, I just looked into his eyes.
"I love you Haine." Jake smiled. My heart pounded.
"I think I love you too.... Jacob." I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him again. I never wanted this moment to end... but it did.
"JACOB!!!" A scream came. A pounding came at the door and Jake ran to it. He yanked it open and saw nothing, but a trail of blood leading outside and a car pulling away with Xavier in the drivers seat and Max, unconcious against the door.
