An Adolescent Vampire
(Chapter 2)
"Your father was the vampire king." Corona said. My heart froze. What was she talking about?!
"My father was not a vampire! I should know! I lived with him for ten years!"
I snapped. Corona rolled her eyes. "Your father WAS the king, and he WAS a vampire. If you want proof, look at your wound." I was confused, but slowly took my hand off of the shot wound. I closed my eyes, expecting to see my blood pour out, but when I took it off, the wound was already half closed and scabbing!
I stoped bleeding and didn't hurt any longer. "But...... how is that possible?!"
I gasped. "You've got vampire blood in you Haine. You can heal faster then normal mortals. Right now I'd say.... you're only about 30% vampire, by the time you turn eighteen it soon be half way complete." Corona smiled. Then something clicked.
"Hold on, my father can't be a vampire! Jake said vampires can't reproduce!"
Corona looked at me. "That is true. But the king can. If he wants to." I was confused. Corona sighed. "A vampires ability can only work if they think they can use it. It's all in the mind. The king is the one who decides what vampires can do.
If he says they can transform, they can. If he says they can fly, they can. And if he says they can reproduce, they can do that as well. He made it so that all vampires, except royalty, are not allowed to reproduce. He is still able to, and when he met your mother he decided to use it. So, you are a vampires daughter. A princess actually." Corona explained. I was silent. "So, my mother was a mortal?"
Corona nodded. "Is my father still alive?" I asked. Corona smiled.
"Yes. He is. Would you like to meet him?" I nodded and smiled.
Even if my father was a vampire, I still haven't seen him in six years.
A group of men came and brought us to the hospital.
"Stick close to me Haine. This isn't a mortal hospital. There's thousands of injured vampires here that would love to kill you. This is a vampire hospital."
I entered and gasped. In front of me were dozens apon dozens of vampires looking at me, blood lust in their eyes. "Mortal!" They sneered. "Help me!" I thought, my heart pounding.
