(Chapter 1)
[Don't read this unless you've read the intro]
"I......need.....BLOOD!!!!!" Jake ran at me, an urge to kill in his eyes.
"Jake! No!!!!!" Jake leaped into the air and landed ontop of me. His fangs drooled and his blood-red eyes grew wide. I closed my eyes, and waited for death to come.
"Haine!" Suddenly, I heard a scream and Jake went flying off of me. "Are you alright?" My savior ran over and knelt down beside me.
It was Max! His messy black hair covered his worried yellow eyes.
"Yes, but I've been shot." I whispered. Jake stood up growling. Max stood up and charged forward. Max was also a vampire, that's why he was able to fight Jake.
I watched the fight, It looked like it would go on forever... until suddenly, I saw Max go flying and he hit his head hard on a rock, blood squirting out from the impact. "Max!!!" I screamed. Jake glanced at me and began walking towards me once again. My heart raced. The only one who could save me is unconscious bleeding to death, and I couldn't fight a vampire!
Gripping my shoulder, I ran. I heard Jake yell something then began chasing after me. It didn't take long before I was cornered against two buildings, in an alleyway, with Jake snarling at the entrance. "I'll kill you......." Jake growled, and took a stride towards me.
"This is the end....." I thought. But just as Jake was about to pounce, he froze and fell flat on his face. A dart in his neck. I glanced up. Max was standing over Jake, blood gushing from out of a giant gash and looking at me he whispered,
"Call...... Corona...... number...... in....pocket." Then, Max collapsed beside Jake's body. I tried to catch my breath. Two vampires were passed out in front of me. I walked over to Max and reached into his pocket.
I pulled out a sheet of paper and called the number on it.
A half an hour later, a woman with long blonde (almost white) hair, black streaks and yellow eyes arrived. "Are you Corona?" She looked at me. "Yes." She said simply and knelt down beside Jake and Max. She pulled out her phone.
"This is Corona. We got two unconscious vampires and one injured mortal girl.
Send help." She hung up. "Are.... are you also a vampire?" I whispered.
"Yes. There are more of us then you think. What's your name mortal?"
"Haine. Haine Wolfbane."
Corona smiled. "Of course. So you're Haine huh?"
"You've heard of me? How?"
Corona circled me. "Every vampire knows your name, Haine."
"But why?! How?!"
Corona smiled. "Your father was the vampire king."
