Lost Dream
i look around,
i see nothing,
i listen,
and hear the wind go softly around me,
will they find me?
do they care?
i search for the asking eyes of those around me,
but they only stop and stare,
will i make it?
Can i breathe?
i take one soft step, then another, faster...
i start to run,
But what am i running from?
Am i running from myself?
i don't want to be here,
i don't want to be alone anymore,
i want to be hugged and wanted,
maybe ill stop for a minute,
but i don't think i have the power in me to stop...
So how do i keep going?
i feel as though i am floating,
i drop to the ground,
gasping for air,
but where are my lungs?
im being suffocated,
i need help,
nobody is here,
nobody cares,
i wake up and start the oncoming day..
with a nightmare in my mind...
