My blood raced through my veins like the free wind through a grassy field. I finally approached the journal stopping only inches from it touching my feet and the sound of the pulsating heart beat one last time. I could feel Iroshi's eyes watching my every move as I bent down to look closer at the small, glowing book. "You're a strange little book aren't you?" I wasn't expecting anything to happen but all of a sudden the light lifted off the book and floated only centimeters from my face. "Sheo... What's happening?!" I stared wide-eyed at the glowing orb and slowly shook my head "no." The small orb floated in front of my head for a second before slowly swirling down to my hand. I watched in bewilderment as the energy form began encircling my hand, dancing and twisting around my every finger. The glowing light was warm and welcoming as it slowly spread over my forearm. I was in its trance before, the ever so frightened, hand of Iroshi fell upon my shoulder causing me to jump but and realize, "I CAN'T MOVE MY HAND!" Iroshi's eyes followed my terrified gaze to my hand. "WHAT SHOULD I DO?!" "PULL!" Iroshi grabbed hold of my arm and I took hold with my free hand and together we pulled our hardest to free my arm. "PULL HARDER!" "I'M TRYING!" Nothing we did could free me from the dancing flames. As we pulled, the light, to both our horrors, made its way up Iroshi’s hand to her wrist. "SHEO, I CAN'T PULL LOSS!" "I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S DOING!" Soon the encircling light covered my head, most of my upper body, and all of my lower body. Iroshi's body was almost completely covered, only leaving her neck and head unexposed; she was now stuck facing the opposite way of the journal. "Sheo, what would happen if you took the scissors out of the journal? Would this stop?" "IROSHI, YOU'RE A GENIUS!!" Every single time I saw Flashlight or the dancing flames the journal had been damaged in some kind of way. It had been thrown across my bedroom, its lock had been broken off, it had mysteriously fallen down Toki's staircase, fell off a bathroom counter, and to top it all off, was stabbed with a part of scissors right through its middle. With my one free hand, I reached for journal. "Iroshi, I can't grab them!" My body was almost completely frozen and leaning forward was impossible! I tried once more but stopped when I heard a piercing scream come from Iroshi. "WHAT HAPPENED?!" Through clenched teeth Iroshi reply that she had just barely moved her finger the light had taken over, but with only one consequence, pain had shot up her arm a pulsated throughout her entire body. "Sheo... I think the only way you can reach that journal and free us... won't be very... umm... comfortable." She was right. All she did was move her finger; I was going to attempt to move my whole body! Was all that pain really worth it? Personally, I wanted to see what would happen if the flames spread over our whole bodies. "Sheo... What are you waiting for? If that thing covers your body, who knows what will happen?! You might not be able to move at all!!" "Let's see what will happen!" "No, I'm really scared! Please just take the scissors out!" I looked over at Iroshi and could see she truly was afraid and the compassionate side of me took over. "O.k. Fine, but you owe me big time!" A huge smile spread across Iroshi's face and if she could of she'd have hugged me purple. "O.k. on the count of three..." "I'll be right here." "Very funny!" I took a deep breath and Iroshi counted down. "One... two... three!" With "three" I forced myself to lunge at the handle of the scissors. The pain violently ripped through every inch of me. Try as I might not to, I still let out a glass-shattering scream. "SHEO, YOU'VE ALL MOST GOT IT!" Iroshi's words were like the song of an Angel as the pain of a million deaths surged through my body. "ALMOST!!" I felt my tears run down my face and land onto my arm causing it to tingle. "SHEO, YOU'VE GOT IT!!" Were the last words I heard Iroshi speak before there was a blinding flash of light and I was consumed by darkness and the world around me fell dead and silent. I hope that wasn't to confusing... heh heh... I bet you're just itching to know what has happened! You'll just have to wait!! Muhahaha!! *disappears*
