Jenny was walking into the Fire Castle.
Jenny: I'll see if they know anything. They should know where their leader is.
She walked into the castle and ran into Izzy.
Jenny: Izzy?
Izzy: Jenny? what are you doing here?
Jenny: I'm here looking for Daniel.
Izzy: Look. I'll tell you what I've been telling everyone else. No one ever sees him, but there's no doubt that he's been back. every so often, I'll see that his bed is no longer made up. It's obvious that he doesn't want anyone to find him, so why bother? He'll come back whenever he's done with what he's up to.
Jenny: ... I'm not the only one that's bothered you about this, am I?
Izzy: Of course not. Everyone wonders! They think that the maid would see him, but no! He's never there to be seen. Honestly, he obviously doesn't go far. The thing with his bed, it happens about every two weeks.
Jenny: Thanks.
Jenny walked out of the castle thinking she knew where he was. She headed to the place where they would always meet...
Daniel was sitting next to a tree, with his back to it. He was just holding his hands together whispering.
Daniel: Together forever. Heh. Ya, whatever. Not like she even remembers anyway.
He just continued as a stranger was to the side.
Stranger: Women are interesting aren't they. You think you know them, then the next minute, you're wondering why they even knew you.
Daniel: Ya, you're telling me... Wait a minute...
Daniel looked up to see Bryan standing next to him with his sunglasses on.
Daniel: Heh. Where have you been? No one's seen you for the past year and a half.
Bryan: I could say the same about you, y'know.
Daniel: True. So, what, you here to try and kill me, or just to make me feel worse about myself?
Bryan: Don't worry. I'll keep you entertained none-the-less. I wont be doing the fighting. We both know how that would end up.
Daniel: With your a** getting fried?
Bryan: Exactly.
Daniel: So, who's fighting me then?
Bryan: I've hired some mercenaries. They'll do the job pretty well. Hey! Black! Get over here!
8 differently color coordinated people came from the nearby hill. The leader seemed to be wearing all black. They all wore some kind of weird eyepiece.
Daniel: ... You hired these idiots?
Black: Idiots!?!? Hear that guys? He's calling us idiots!
Yellow: We'll show him!
They all started doing weird poses. Daniel and Bryan just stared in amazement at their idiocity.
Daniel: Seriously?
Bryan: Maybe I'd be better on my own... It'd be less embarrassing...
Black: C'mon gang! Let's show Bryan that we are his money's worth!
Green: His lots and lots of money's worth!
Red: Cool it green.
Orange: WAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Yellow: Let's go!
Purple: Show him our moves!
Blue: We're too cool to lose to this guy.
Daniel: ... Is the orange one on crack?
Bryan: I was just thinking the same thing...
The Orange one jumped towards Daniel, but Daniel quickly rolled to the side and jumped into the air. He was quickly surrounded by blue, purple, and green. They all threw punches at him, but Daniel deflected them all and knocked them all out of the air with a few simple punches. He then landed on the ground.
Black: !!! Bryan! You told us he used his power more then martial arts!
Bryan: He use to!
Daniel: You seriously think I just sit there all day. I've been gone for a year and a half. Think about it.
Bryan: Damn!
Daniel: If that's all you got, then this wont take more then five minutes.
The three he hit earlier got back up. All of them except black surrounded him. They all jumped at him at once, and hit each other. Daniel dissapeared.
Green: Where'd he go!?
Red: Look! He jumped!
Orange: WAHAHA!!
Daniel: This is getting old...
Daniel gathered fire into his fists and threw a huge ball of fire down onto all of them. One of the eight made an earth shield over them all though.
Black: If this continues, then we'll all die. Good thing green used his earth.
At that moment, the earth above them went down hard and squashed all seven of them under it.
Daniel: What the-?
Black: Guys!?
Voice: Hi guys.
The voice they all heard came from the hill. they three guys looked to see Jenny on top of the hill.
Bryan: Jenny!?
Black: Another one?
Daniel: ...
Underneath Black, quicksand started to be formed. Black couldn't do anything. He was already caught in it.
Black: Damn!! No!!!!
Jenny: So Bryan, you wanna be next?
Bryan quickly flew off. Daniel just turned away from Jenny and laid back under the tree.
Jenny: What? I haven't seen you in a year and a half and you don't even say hi?
Daniel: ...
Jenny: ... What's wrong?
She walked up to Daniel and sat next to him.
Daniel: ... I could've taken them easily. I didn't need your help.
Jenny: ... So, is this where you've been for the past year and a half? Our tree?
Daniel: It's still OURS?
Jenny: Ok, I see where this is going...
Daniel: Oh, and which way is that?
Jenny: ... Y'know, you don't have to be this way.
Daniel: ... I know... I can't help it... I come here for the anger... the hatred...
Jenny: Is that what you feel towards me? Anger and hatred?
Daniel: No! No. I can never hate you... I hate whatever I did to make you leave... I force myself to be angry by making myself live with the memories.
Jenny: What you did!? Daniel, you didn't do anything!
Daniel: Then why did you end it? Why did you end us!?
Jenny: ... Daniel... You mean a lot to me, you really do... I just... It's not you, it's me, ok?
Daniel: Then what happened to YOU?
Jenny: I can't explain it...
Daniel: Of course you can't...
Jenny stood up offended.
Jenny: Seriously? Daniel, you can't know ok? You don't understand. You WOULDN'T understand.
Daniel: Try me.
Jenny: ... Daniel, you never accepted the fact, did you?
Daniel: And what fact is that?
Jenny: That maybe we weren't meant to be, ok?
Daniel: How are you suppose to know that? Is that your choice?
Jenny: Technically, half of it is.
Daniel: You know what? I'm just gonna go. I don't need this.
Daniel stood up and walked away.
Jenny: Wait! I- ... Daniel...
She turned back to the tree and saw where they had carved their names into the tree... She sat and stared at what Daniel had been staring at for the past year and a half...
