The arrow exploded.
Jenny: Daniel!!! No!!!
Jenny tried getting up, but couldn't. All she could do was watched as the light from the explosion continued. Daniel's body was blown from the explosion in Jenny's direction and landed next to her. His eyes were closed and he wasn't moving.
Jenny: No!!
Jenny tried to crawl over to Daniel, but had a very hard time. She started talking to herself while crawling.
Jenny: Daniel! You can't die on me! Please! Don't leave me!
She continued crawling, and tears started pouring from her eyes.
Jenny: Please... I need you... You can't...
She reached his body and turned him over to his back. She checked his pulse, but there was none.
Jenny: ..... No... Please... no... Anything but that..... Daniel... you can't die on me... I love you...
She rested her head on his body and started to bawl. She couldn't hold the millions of tears in. One tears fell onto his face, and his face crunched up as if in pain.
Daniel: Ah.... Uh...
Jenny: ... *sniff* huh?
Jenny leaned up and saw Daniel's eyes opening.
Jenny: ..... Daniel! *sniff* You're alive!
Daniel: Ya... We came pretty close, didn't we?
Jenny: Ya... *sniff*
She wrapped her arms around him.
Daniel: Ow! ... That hurts!
Jenny: ... Sorry... *sniff*
She grabbed his face and kissed him.
Jenny: Never scare me like that again!
Daniel: Sorry... you know my daredevil nature. Heh... Ow...
Jenny: We have to get you back...
Daniel: No need to worry about me... *cough* I'll be fine.
From underneath him, wings of fire sprouted.
Daniel: They wont hurt you, but they will make us as light as feathers...
Daniel started floating into the air and Jenny climbed on. Daniel had to help Jenny up because of her damaged state, and Daniel was floating on his back. He hadn't moved. They floated all the way back to the Earth Village...
Three months later, there was a gathering of people in the center of the Earth village next to a giant memorial.
Preacher: We gather here today to remember the courageous acts of all these beloved people. They gave their lives protecting our world....
After a while, Daniel walked up to the podium.
Daniel: These people were not only my comrades, but my best friends. This is a loss that I will live with for the rest of my life, but... it helps knowing that they all died protecting me, and my family.
Daniel stared into the audience and Maria and Jenny.
Daniel: I cannot give enough thanks to these heroes, and they know that. I will miss them all of my life, but they are in a better place now...
Daniel stepped off the podium and walked back to hi seat next to Jenny and grabbed her hand which had a beautiful diamond ring on the middle finger. Jenny just sat down holding her belly. Daniel patted it.
Daniel: I love you.
Jenny: I love you too.
Daniel: And I love you.
Daniel said the last thing to Jenny's stomach. Jenny smiled and looked back to the podium.
Unrealfan11: Hey guys! It's me again! Now I know you're probably confused at what just happened, so I'll explain. After I typed the last ending, I started thinking a lot of "What ifs". So I came up with a new ending! I want my viewers to vote on which one they liked better, and this will determine the start of the next story! Thank you!
