Inspired
He walks down a beaten path of dirt and dust on a warm and elated summers day in comforting forest that feels like home to him. He walks on taking in the sunlight and it's radiating joying with a gentle smile while thinking of someone special. He stares at the tree tops from the undergrowth and shade as the sun peers through causing a beautiful collage of lit and shaded spots to cover the ground and the path in front of him. The warming golden rays and the cooling darkness meet evenly across the forest making the temperature just right. He looks forward and sees her ahead on the trail. His heart races faster as he moves closer but it fails to show on his face. With a confident smile he continues forward on the path that has been tread so many times before. He stops and stands in front of her with his hands shaking nervously. He feels a gentle brush against his hand and a relieving feeling overwhelms him and all his nervousness slowly melts away and love takes it's place. He holds her hand firmly, yet with care. He leads her on down the path where they reach a divide. They stop, look at each other curiously yet with intent and move forward. They reach the wood and brush that makes the divide and they sit down against it. He rests on the wood she rests, laying up against him. Her hand is held lovingly and close by his as the lay there. Softly yet carefully he leans his head down and as he does she turns hers up and their eyes meet in a reveling eternity of but a few seconds then their lips meet in a soft collision of romance and passion as the sunlight shines through the treetops and the trees almost seem to part as to let the sun through to shine on them more fully and comfortibly to wrap it's warm understanding arms around them. Their lips slowly part and he leans back and his gaze meets hers once more, "I Love you," he says as she looks at him. "I Love you too," she returns with a passionate care about it. And they laid at that crossroad for the rest of the day and into the late hours of the night where the stars shined brightly, celebrating their love in the dark depths of the night sky.
