Part 7: My Love and My Son
Itachi stopped talking, he just leaned against a wall, his eyes moving over his brother's expecting him to try and attack him. "Madara wanted to kill her, but I could not, Hitori-san was very different from any person," he whispered pulled his eyes away from Sasuke. "She was something that deserved to never know me."
It was clear that it made little sense about what was going to happen to Sasu-chan, at least to Sasuke. "I will never allow Sasu-chan to turn into you, now or ever."
"Then do yourself a favor and leave our family home and create a new one," Itachi left the inn. "You challenged that thing before when you were little. I had to stop you from getting scratched."
"What are you talking about?"
"You were able to see the ghosts too when you were little, when I saw you talking to that thing..." the voice was distant and rather angry. "It attacked me and shoved me against the wall. All it wanted was you, and take you from the family."
The words ghosts were muttered before in the Uchiha family, it was uttered by cousins and some of the relatives who gazed at the empty house. "We should have it torn down, Sasuke-chan would be better off," one of the aunts had whispered looking in at the little boy. "He's dreadfully ill, I don't think seeing ghosts is healthy for any child. Fugaku-sama, you should seal that ability away, make him forget what he saw."
Itachi explained what had happened. "So To-san sealed your abilities to see ghosts away, and it made the thing more angry, so we sealed it in that house. We made sure that no one went near it, but now that you brought a psychically sensitive child into the place, now it will attack you and force you to see it again."

Itachi was sure that his brother was not going to know what ghosts were, in fact he had seen violent spirits all his life. He knew that Madara was interested in the study of ghosts.
When it came to trying to convince him not to use Sasuke at all in the experiment and unsealing a psychic ability that was better off sealed away. It was not because Itachi was scared of it, but it was too much for his brother to handle, he cared nothing for Sasuke, but he did not care to have innocent people in the way when he to deal with it.
"That child of yours is more trouble than he's worth, you should have killed that woman when you had the chance," Madara whispered to Itachi as they met outside the town. "You are foolish to let that child and that woman go."
I made my choice, and I'm not going to ever allow you or anyone else to kill her or touch my son, Itachi thought walking away from his teacher. "Leave them alone."
"The question can you leave them alone, that boy, the one you named after your brother, he's your son, you're going to have to explain that to him one day," Madara pulled his cloak agianst his body. "What about your brother, he's not honestly going to raise that child to love you, now is he?"
"He can do whatever he pleases with my son, Sasuke-chan will never know about us."

The apartment was tiny, at least by standards of having one bedroom, a kitchen, a living space, and one bathroom. The walls needed to be painted, the door to the bedroom was creaking, and the chances of the place being actually liveable for Sasuke and his nephew were slim. Walking into the apartment, there was feeling of dread falling over the head of the Uchiha clan. This is what I'm reduced to? Raising Aniki's son in this? This was not good for him either.
The owner of the building smiled at them. "This is within your pricing, it isn't as if Ninja can afford better, unless you are of the noble houses and all."
Sasuke swallowed his pride and shook his head, he sat down on a bed and looked over at his nephew who was standing at the enterance looking in with a rather strange look on his face. "What do you think?" Sasuke finally asked the child who was holding his stuffed bear and then looked up at his uncle.
"Do we have to?" the voice was tiny and a little scared of the results of the question.
"We have to," Sasuke walked around the apartment sighing a little. "This is the best I can do at such short notice. Its only for a little while, I promise."

The next morning, Sasuke went to the house, he left Sasu-chan with Tsunade who was more than happy to babysit for some reason. "I love this little guy," she smiled and took the child into her office. "After all, this little guy is the cutest thing in the world."
Walking through the entry gate to the Uchiha house, Sasuke brought with him some plywood boards, hammer, and nails. Kakashi came with him hoisting two or three of the boards onto his head. "So what's going on?"
"Just getting our stuff and leaving," Sasuke walked inside, grabbed what was left of some toys, clothing, and toilet trees, then taking a board, nailing the doors to the house shut. Then he moved to the windows that looked out into the courtyard, those were nailed up too. He took out a blessing seal and stuck it onto the door, whispering the prayer he knew at least by heart because he saw his father do so it so often in front of the house.
"Was that really..." Kakashi suddenly jumped back when he felt like something was shoving him off the porch. "What the....?"
"Its haunted," Sasuke said simply walking away. "The seal will keep it from following Sasu-chan or me."
Walking toward the other houses, he sighed and looked around. "They still have these places as police zones. I wonder if I can ask to have my home back someday, I can't keep living in a smaller apartment than I need. What will happen when Sasu-chan is older?"
Kakashi shrugged and tried ot sound pleasant. "Well, I might be able to talk black opts about releasing these places and having them cleaned up."
"Thank you," Sasuke walked away. "I just want a place that is liveable."
