It was a tragic story. Seraphim and Ayame left Hellsing Castle after recieving word that he still had living kin. His sister was currently residing in Japan. The couple left immediately on their journey. But is was all a hoax. His sister was mad. She thought Seraphim had killed their parents. And though he had witnessed their killing, he was not their murderer. Try as he might, he could not convince his sister otherwise, so the battle ensued.

Ayame desperately wanted to help her lover, but Seraphim had told her to stay back, that this was his battle. He told her to get as far away as she could from that place, but she had refused. '"I'm staying with you!"' As he tried to convince her to go, his sister saw the advantage. She rushed for Ayame and tried to cut off her head. Seraphim pushed Ayame out of the way, catching the sword in his chest. His sister laughed wickedly as she pulled the sword from his fallen body. Her eyes burned into his as she said, '"Good riddance."'

Ayame ran over to her fallen lover, sobbing and held his bloody body close to her. As she looked down at him, he began to smile. His hand caressed her face, and he pulled her down for one last kiss. Ayame trembled as their lips touched. His has already gone cold. When he spoke, his voice was quieter than it had ever been.

'"Don't cry, dearest. You know my love for you will transcend even death. I will never ever leave your side."'

She could only shake her head as her body trembled and her tears came faster. '"No.."' she whispered back. '"You can't die."'

His face was filled with so much pain. Seraphim was working as hard as he could to stay alive and be with his beloved.

'"Darling, never forget me. But don't remember me like this. We've shared so much love and pain over these many years."'

Ayame nodded. Holding him closer to her body, she buried her head in his chest.

'"I will never forget you, and I will never stop loving you."'

He smiled weakly, and then his eyes closed forever. Ayame screamed at the sky for what seemed like hours. In reality, it was only minutes before she stood from the ground, covered in her husband's blood. A red gleam shown in her eyes and she pulled her sword, walking off in the direction of Seraphim's killer.

It didn't take long to find her, celebrating at her estate. Well the party was over. The battle was short. She had changed into her full demonic form on instinct and tore through the woman with her sword, making sure to miss any vital organs. 1,000 cuts to her body, and she was down on the ground, unable to move. The woman had cried out for her mercy, but Ayame was long beyond mercy. She ran toward her and made one final sweep with her sword. The blade delved directly into the woman's heart, and Ayame kept it there, eyeing her and gritting her teeth and she twisted the blade hard to the left. The woman shrieked in pain, and slowly the life left her eyes. When Ayame pulled the blade from the woman's chest, she whispered, '"Good riddance."' Tears rolled down her cheeks again, as she had gone back to her husband's body. She had carried him up the mountain, and buried him underneath the cherry blossoms.

It wasn't until a month after his death that she noticed she was with child. This thought comforted her to some degree that she would not really be alone. She would always have a little piece of Seraphim with her. Had he known? She would never know.

For that month, she had been a sword for hire in Japan, particularly in the region of Kyoto. She stayed for a while longer, deciding to work as a waitress at a local restaurant so as not to endanger her child.

After some time, when she had sorted out her thoughts and her life, she decided to return to her home, Hellsing Castle. She had missed her family, and it was time for a reunion.
