This is about the progress on my novel.
I've added more pages yesterday and today. Almost done with another chapter. This is after a few weeks with nothing, so I'm feeling really good.
But here's the thing.
I've set up a deadline for myself to get the first draft of the entire story done. It's set for my birthday, February the twelfth. Of 2008. And I'm just about on Chapter five, and I've got the rest of this month, all of my off-time in January, and then until my birthday to write my entire story's first draft, which isn't very much time, but a lot of writing.
It may seem impossible to finish it by then, but I made a promise to myself that I'd publish the novel before I reached age fifteen. I've already altered it to be finishing the first draft before age fifteen.
I'm not sure if I can do it.
But yet.....
I can. I will. By February 12th, 2008, I'll be emailing my story documents to my mom and a couple of reliable friends. When I receive my criticism, I'll bite my tongue and nod, thinking about what to change.
And then by September of next year, September 16th, my book will either be on the shelves or have been on the shelves and then a bestselling book.
And I'll be the youngest bestselling author.
So, now that I have my morale up, I'm going to get back to writing.
