Time for another update.
Mmmm let's see-= let's see... First of all, the holidays are approaching! I can't wait- Preseeeeeeeeeeeents! Plus, my birthday right before Christmas so...DOUBLE PRESEEEEEEEEENTS!
So yea- turnin 21. My father is intent on having a party and going out to a club or something and getting drunk. Oi sweatdrop I might have my first hangover; but doubt it hehe. Gonna be fun though.
Let's see... well...hmm what else... Aahhh mmmm... Incase no one knows, I have a new girlfriend. eek A very sweet girl; a girl with a true heart. We have a lot in common, but also have things that we think differently on (such as she is becoming a vegetarian while I'm not razz or that she is more of a Buddhists while I am more of a Catholic). Very lovely girl. I mean drop dead gorgeous - but it's her personality and heart I fell in love with. She lit me up. She just...I finally found a girl that is everything I've wanted. Oh sure, this is just mumbo jumbo to some people; she might not really be the one... But... She is such an amazing woman. I really hope I am the true guy for her. The more I'm with her, the closer we get. I've never seen a woman act the way she does- and she has true determination. She has a fire in her heart that I admire with a passion - a girl who really works hard for what she believes in/desires. She is also incredibly talented in the arts. You should see the things she has painted/drawn! Absolutely STUNNING! Professional grade I mean-I could only achieve that level in my dreams razz
But... I haven't seen her in...well...it'll be a week now. There's been this ex of hers that has been almost like a stalker. Saying he'll have her no matter what. Guy is a psycho, God only knows what he'd do. The area over there has some people who are...ok everywhere has those kind of people, but it isn't quite like the U.S. in terms of law I think. I'm very worried... I'm... Very, very worried about her. But you know, this thinking has just come into being. I've actually been thinking they've gotten a power/net outage. It's taking a while to get everything back up... God I hope that's the reason...
Let's see...Ummmmmm- oh, I've updated my Profile to a new video and new theme biggrin Christmasy/December theme. CHECK IT OUT FOO'S! razz And as you can see, I have modified my avi to a more holidayish appearance. Yes, yes, I know, point and laugh- slick halfbreed incubus now looks like an elf. I unfortunately found out that after changing BACK from having a vampire face (which is going RIGHT back on when I get out of those damn clothes), Gaia gave my non-mouthed avi a mouth. Now I have to deal with a mouth... A mouth I do not want, as I felt like I looked better without the mouth. Very upsetting they did that to me. Well- the vamp mouth looks a helluva lot better. They better keep that damn thing up there. So yea! Checkout my avi! Checkout my profile! Enjoy my video mrgreen
Anyways... What else... What else... I just saw The Mist. I've got to say... it... really wasn't scary... It had more gore than scare- and even the gore was just 'ok'. The movie ending, which I heard the book had no ending, was just...just...depressing... Not even sad...Mortifying...
For those of you who are thinking of seeing this movie and don't want anything spoiled (It's rated R btw, so unless you're turning the legal age soon, movie hopping, or going in with fake ids, you probably won't be seeing it) please don't read on. I'm going to tell the ending...
WARNING! WARNING! SPOILER WARNING! STOP READING NOW! DON'T CONTINUE IF YOU DON'T WANT THINGS SPOILED!
Well... You see, the ending... Most people who were turned by that psychotic Christian woman stayed in the mini-store. The main protagonist left the place with an elderly woman, an elderly man, a woman who was considered a 2nd or 3rd protagonist and could possibly have been the "new" love-interest to the main protagonist and his young son. *sighs* The Mist is full of monsters from an alternate dimension... They had killed several people already... There was actually another protagonist that went with them as well as 3 other "good" guys who believed in the main character. Sadly this protagonist, a really nice guy and a good friend it seemed to the main guy, was snagged by a giant lobster like monster who you only see the silhouette of in the mist - and then is ripped in half and carried off... The other 3 were killed by monsters... spider creatures that had killed a previous party of people who tried to escape into the mist.
So the remaining living good guys got into the main protagonist's car. They were going to drive out - or at least see how far the car would take them on 1 tank of gas. Hopefully getting out of the mist...
They stop by the main protagonist's house... His wife had been left there before the mist came in... We knew she wouldn't have made it... The characters see her body, covered in spider webs, pinned against the doorway similar to the way the other group died to the spiders...dead herself... It was... it was a sad moment... When you think of it, what if the person you were with- the love of your life- was taken from you? The person you pledged eternal love to, were happy with, were going to grow old together and die together...gone just like that... It was...very sad... After a few minutes of mourning from the main protagonist, the son btw was asleep so thankfully didn't have to see his mother's lifeless body hanging there, the car is driven out of there.
So driving...and driving.... One scene I thought they had run out of gas, but infact he turned off the car and listening as the whole ground started shaking from something incredibly large coming their way. This huge alien monster, like a dinosaur size, towering, beast that seemed to have dozens of tiny arms under its body and about 6 giant "pillar" like legs that it walked on, came past them infront of the car. It noticed them, roared a few times, still walking, it just walked on past. The car is started again and they continue.
Eventually...the car runs out of gas...and the mist is still around... The characters tell each other "Well, we gave it a good shot"; did the whole tried our best thing... They look at a gun that they had brought... It had been previously used by the other protagonist that sadly died. Originally with 10 bullets completely, 3 had been used to kill pterodactyl looking birds that broke into the mini-mart, 1 used to kill the first sightings of spiders, and 2 used to killed the psychotic Christian woman before she could make most of the mini-mart survivors sacrifice the little boy to the monsters; all that left was 4... There were 5 people alive. The female protagonist looked at him holding the gun and said to him "but there are 5 of us"...the main protagonist says "he'll think of something"... Everyone understand, the elderly woman nods, the elderly man accepts, the female protagonist begins to cry... Never will she have a family or a husband... At this point the little boy awakens, unaware of what is about to happen...
The camera slowly zooms out of the car... You see a flash as one bullet is fired; the female protagonist's head lies against the window with blood on it. Then you see 3 more flashes, hearing the gunshots each time...So instead of going out and letting the monsters slaughter them, they chose to suicide... Well it was a little more like murder.
The camera goes back to see the main protagonist alive... He is crying, screaming- all 4 remaining bullets used. He puts the gun into his mouth, screaming in anguish as he clicks the gun over, and over again- no more bullets to kill himself with... He eventually opens the door; having "spared" the others from having to die a gruesome death to the monsters, and instead goes out to receive that punishment himself. He begins to call "Take me!" "Cmon!" "Come get me!"...
The audience hears sounds of the monsters around. Then the sound of a large monster, close to where he is. The man moves into the mist, waiting to be killed.....
...When suddenly the sound gets closer and army tanks come through the mist...past him... The mist begins to clear and you see more army vehicles coming into the city to destroy the monsters and remove the mist. Army personnel with flame throwers come in and begin to show them clearing out the creatures, incinerating flying wasp-like creatures that appeared earlier, killing a girl in the mini-mart, as well as incinerating a nest of theirs. More army personnel come through, as do more army vehicles and trucks carrying survivors of the mist to safety...
In a sick, twisted, ironic event, if the man and his followers had waited...they all would have been saved... instead, he took the life of a could've been lover, an elderly woman who always had his back/went with him to get supplies, an elderly man who was the same...and his son, who he had protected the whole film... The man falls on his knees, screaming in anguish as he realizes what has happened and what could've been... It was just... not right...
Nothing sad about that ending... just... disturbed... Upsetting... I mean, in a way it was sad...but not like the Titanic scene where she lets go of his hand sad... it was... Not right... Not right at all... *sighs*
Well that's it for my journal entry today- catch ya'll some other time. Need to go to bed so I can get some sleep for my 9 AM dentist appointment.
