Who I Want To Be
I sit on the ground listening to my ipod
my knees pulled to my chest
The volume up high and the sound
of his screaming voice soothed me
but the song brought me down a bit
As i sit there, sweat formed
under my hat, i think of
who i am and who others want me to be
They say dont change
but yet they try to change me
I want to be with
someone i want to be with
not someone THEY want me to be with
I feel so insecure
sometimes around people
close to but not strangers
why?
As i sit here and think tears
start to build in my
eyes, i blink
The salty lone tear leaves behind a
trail as it rolls
down my cheek and fell to the
ground, He watched me
from a distance then after
a few minutes
he sat next to me and pulled
me close
He took my headphones out
and whisphered softly
into my ear
"I love you for YOU
Be who you want to be
not what THEY want you to be!!"
He kissed my cheek and said
"I love you"
I close my eyes and lean
against him, the words
"I love you too" come out
as i feel this is who
