Oh, so that's the problem.
Flynn: "Personality error: there is nobody on your friend list."
That's too funny. I tried a couple of jigsaw puzzles. Fun. Fishing is still fun. I happened to go to Target today, so I picked up one of those cash cards. I think donations to get collectibles had to be mailed in when I was last here. I'll probably be able to get whichever items I want each month now. I bought the evolving items. I'm waiting on the collectibles. I'm mostly looking into new things, like the puzzles and Towns, and lurking at the guild. I'll be posting again when I've got a decent summary of my favorite books. I found a few other guilds that look interesting, but there are some that seem to be missing. Can there really not be a Blackadder guild? Or a Jeeves and Wooster guild? I saw three Sims 2 guilds, but I'm not sure I want to join any of them. I'd like something with a MATY sort of feel, though obviously toned down to the limits of Gaia's rules. Oh well. The Battle game sounds like it's going to be fun. I hope my computer and dial-up connection can handle it. Either that, or I hope I can upgrade both of those in time. No, really, I think I'd rather the second. My walls in the Sims 2 have been flashing red since Open For Business, I think. Or was it Pets? It's been a while. It's worn me down to the point that I'm willing to get a cheap computer from a store, even knowing that I'll just have to replace it soon. I just want to be able to play the Sims 2 on decent settings. And maybe be ready for Spore. And some of those newer games I've been ignoring because I know my computer can't handle them. I bought Neverwinter Nights 2 a while ago, and the cd-rw/dvd-rom combo decided not to play dvds anymore. I tried updating the driver, cleaning it out, and I don't even remember what now. I don't care anymore, so I didn't try that hard. My last computer had similar problems towards its end, and it was also a hewlett packard. Turns out, both have the same Samsung cd-rw/dvd-rom drive. Not the one I'll be using someday in the far future when I have the money to build my own computer. Hmm. I wonder just what Mom means when she says "cheap." Maybe I could get a price range and see what I could put together. Problem is, I'd like to at least get a good motherboard so I could upgrade without having to start over. If "cheap" means $500, that might be a good chunk of my budget already. It's not really cheaper to build a computer anymore. I just want to build one. Let's see. I suppose I need a price. Then I'll see what I could buy pre-made, and then what I could put together. My own Sims 2 stories are very out of date on this journal. I've got much more recent information on MySpace, but I rather like keeping my Gaia self a bit seperated from my other online usernames. That's part of why I'd like to change my name here. Cat on my arms, nearly three in the morning, update later.
