As you open the book, you see that its pages are as black as its cloth cover, as though stained with ink. Then the blackness seems to recede in places, forming shapes that turn into letters…

But I suppose it doesn’t matter - you seem like a good enough person. Why don’t you read a while? Do feel free to write notes in the margins. I like to collect such snippets of information, and it won’t hurt me in the slightest.
