I was lucky enough to acquire my 2 kappa "friends" yesterday.
Kappa are not always nice, so I play mine as if they were mischievous, sometimes doing things I wouldn't want them to do! Xen loves his Kappa, however. Being a good-natured soul, Xen adopted these two orphans and is trying to instruct them in a fatherly manner in the Way. This does not always go well wink
Below is a link with some information on Kappa, which are Japanese water kami -Shinto spirits. My first introduction to kappa was from the old "Oriental Adventures" suppliment for 2nd Edition AD&D. I played a monastic character in that game, too wink
