The Weekly Rant VI -Love of bears, fear of wolves
Something I've been wondering about, why the f#&@ do people like bears, but are scared to death of wolves? For hundreds of years, people were always scared of wolves because they thought they were monsters and blood thirsty killers, the bad guy in fairy tales, not to mention the lycanthropy thing. BEARS KILL PEOPLE TOO. In the early years of this country, people put a price on wolf heads to get rid of them, they are now seldom seen in america.(to the best of my knowledge) Bears are the big hungry omnivores of this country, why weren't they hunted? *ding* TEDDY BEARS. Roosevelt's choice to spare one little bear is what cuased toy makers to make the "teddy" (theodore) bear. Because the little bears were so popular, bears are left alone, not hunted like wolves. Speaking of whom, wolves are like big dogs...so much for man's best friend. Back to the point, bears are sometimes called the bane of campers because when people go out in the woods, what's the first phobia brought up? "I hope we don't get eaten by bears!" And yet, if a bear is seen, some dumbasses try to HUG THEM, they die, and their friends wonder why. "he was just giving it a bear hug" he was just becoming LUNCH, dumbass. I'll bet if someone had come up with the "teddy wolf" we'd have a hellof a lot more wolves in the country and maybe even wolves as PETS... thus, more dead stupid people.
BOTTOM LINE: Don't hug bears, they aren't cute, they aren't gentle, THEY'RE F#%@ING HUNGRY.
That's this week's rant, I'm Varmeip, Goodnight.
