What makes you want to walk towards me,
when all I want to do is walk away?
Away from your touch and the life you can bring,
away from the unknown thought of becoming your wife,
and away from all the unknown feelings that threaten to wander into my heart.
Yet you have no clue,
of all the feelings I have for you.
You stir up this mountain deep inside,
that makes me want to cower away from your side.
All of this is so new to my soul,
and all I want to do is cuddle and hold,
while praying the feelings will leave me for someone older.
Somebody who deserves this life,
somebody who deserves to go into this light,
somebody who deserves the happiness it can bring.
For I fear I'm none of that,
since life has put so may twists inside my hat.
So please let me walk away,
and find someone else more worthy to turn your way.
