Silence in my mind. I just stand there listening to the screaming, the emptiness of her words, not caring a bit. Why should I? She doesn't really care for me, I don't care for her. The circle of a snake eating its own tail until it eats itself up in its own greed. One, two, three, counting the seconds of time passing by. I know the routine, I know her ways, I know. I can predict what she'll do if I say but one word more, only to ignite her anger in an attempt to put up my own shield. Appearing strong, but breaking inside I just stand there, and take every last one of her blows. The kind of blows that only words can form, and that will try to mentally scar you. Forever.
