Reading 7 Harry Potter books thru is FAR too much angsty teenage boy for anyone let alone someone feeling a bit lonely! this was going to be a rant on harry potter being a whiny little boy, but instead it will be more worship on Terry Pratchett's Going Postal.
No wonder it's my fall back book! I love how funny he manages to make it while still keeping a sense of, well it reminds me of the magic I felt watching fireworks or going to somewhere like Disneyland as a kid. An innocent and amazing kind of magic and it's about a bloody postal delivery service! It's amazing! He turns a man from a criminal to a man that would spend AM150,000 (in a world where you can live on AM20 a week) to get mail sent while not being at all cheesy! I am confident that there was a book shaped hole in my soul until this glorious book came into my life. I know no one reading will care ( and no one will read) but yeah it needed to be ranted about.
