The night before he returns, omgwhat convinced the team to get together and give him the feeling that everyone is glad that he is back. Would a present on his chair be good enough? No! Take him out to lunch? Of course not! How about a big "Welcome Back" banner? No, that's what they do at ordinary companies.
No, instead what they decided is to tin foil his cube:
Note the careful attention to detail. Every single book is hand wrapped by a developer. Every curve on the chair is covered by the tinfoil. Even the garbage can was tinfoiled.
Finally, they put a roof on the cube, because who wouldn't want an office instead of a cube?
