Kat slowly turned her head from side to side. She felt the difference in their posture and the difference in their body temperature. Suddenly, as if everything was moving in slow motion, she saw them reach for her and their eyes turned a deep shade of black. With out thinking and acting on her impulse she slide her chair back and jumped to her feet. Before her teacher culd say a word, Kat and the two new teen were racing out the door and into the parking lot. It was clear who and what they were but in Kat's mind all she could think was ' why are you ruining my life?'
