Kat dropped her bag on the floor near her desk and sat in the seat. She was really focused on the night ahead than anything around her.
If she had been paying attention to what was going on around her she would have seen the young man and young woman walk into the room. They looked like normal teenage kids but they had a slight coldness about them. This is where destiny decided Kat needed a wake up call.
The boy sat next to her and the girl on her other side. They looked at her after a minute or two of sitting in silence. Kat finally looked at them and she felt rather than saw the difference in them. They were giving her the look of hunger and not just because they thought she was pretty.
The nightmare that was going to be her life for the next few months was about to begin......
