When It Rains
When it rains I look out my window
Watching it pour or watching it sprinkle
As I listen to the rain pounding on my window
I rub a seeing circle on the glass
When it rains I look out that seeing circle
And watch the cars go by in the rain
The sound of thumping on the window
Makes me drowsy and I fall asleep
When it rains I close my eyes
And listen to the thumping on the window
Each thump brings me deeper into sleep
I then awake in the pouring rain
When it rains in my dream I spin in circles with a mouth open wide
When I realize that I can’t feel anything
I stare into the dark, gray clouds
I then kneel on the ground and wish I were awake
I then feel someone nudging me
And then I awake
It is now shining bright through the window
And I get up to go and play
