If you haven't noticed yet, I've gone from telling about how my day went, and in detail too. Now it seems I have shifted to posting what I've learned all from one day. Whatever, it's all random with me...most of you(my good freinds) know that already.
My suggestion is very simple. Whenever the opportunity presents itself, and whenecer there is the slightest indication that it's appropriate to show your appreciation, bend over backwards to do so. Say "Thank you" often, and form your heart. Write thank you cards and do nice things for others when they do nice things for you. We like to refer to this as "paying back" sometimes.
When someone feel appreciated, they are so much happier and easier to be around. I really mean it too! Be sure to thank everyone else in your family as well--your parents, siblings, relatives, anyone. Let them all know how much you value them. Everyone loves to feel appreciated--absolutely everyone.
I'll admit. I haven't been very appreciative to my friends and family, and I realize now that should be, they've done a lot for me, especially my family. I know now that I shouldn't be so mad at my stepdad for being alive, he does a lot for me and so does my mother. Next time you want to tell your parents that they never let you do anything, think of what they've done for you, maybe you're being selfish? Remember what I've said about paying back...it could light up a new person inside of you.
