Forever

As I saw your flushed eyes
Looking down on my pale wounded flesh
You slowly gasped at all the maggots and flies
My body just a being of mush

I said yes, you said no
But we went on with our lives
Soon it came down to what we knew
The last you wanted was the blades of knives

But at last we are together forever
And you refuse to leave just as I do
I want you forever and ever
And we will be here will you

So keep starring
Stare forever if you like
