I awoke early the next morning the rock once again in my throat, making it hard to breath, and my heart ached with an unbearable pain. I sat up and wiped the fresh tears from my eyes, and glanced down at my shoulder where her tears had dried. My body still ached and I looked around for something I could recognize. A small piece of paper caught my eye, flapping a little from the wind and stuck under a small box. I reached out shakily and took it in my hand...

Dear Tsukasa,
Well... I guess this is good-bye. You have finally ascended to the rank of master and I acknowledge that. I bestow upon you my words of encouragement and the gem of souls. I spoke with Jona before you awoke last time; she wanted me to give you the box of your special items. She added one you probably wouldn't remember. Someone visited her and gave her this necklace, she wouldn't tell me who it was but she was going to give it to you during your wedding; the contents are in the box. Along with that I return the flame saber you carried into my dojo. I wish you well Tsukasa on all of your adventures. I wish I could give you more, but that's all I can offer. After you passed out I took Jona from your arms and buried her behind the dojo, she will always be remembered and respected. I'm returning to my dojo to rebuild and start training new students. Don't hesitate to visit sometime.
Your master,
~Maltai
P.S. The vampires that attacked us... I found they were from the army of Lucifer... What they wanted with us I don't know, and what you do with this information, I leave to you...

My hand trembled with anger... What did Lucifer want with me!? I wanted to know, I wanted to find out and get answers to everything; but above all I wanted to make him pay, he killed Jona and I wouldn't let him get away with that... I stood slowly and collected the items left for me. I slid the saber into the holster on my side and took the dagger used to kill Jona, and placed that on my right. I shed a tear for her, but I couldn't go see her now... I opened the box and pulled out the necklace Jona had for me. It gleamed with a demonic aura I had sensed before, but I couldn't put a face with it... Inside the box were also a few trinkets I held from my past, a picture of my mother and the egg of a red dragon she left me before she died.
With these objects in my possession, I left the little shack. I turned and glanced up at the mountain in the distance that held my masters dojo, and to my surprise it looked as though a massive forest fire had burned every tree on that side. I smiled knowing I had grown stronger than I ever could have imagined and headed back to the portal where I arrived from hell. My mission was simple... find Lucifer, destroy everything in my path, and kill Lucifer...
