Ok ok, no ragging on me for this. I promised my little cousin I'd post her next "piece" in my journal so others can read it. It's supposed to be read "to a little tune," but you'll just have to figure that one out on your own. Anyways, she titled it "Stranger". If you really have a comment on it, feel free to say it.

From once upon a cold night strode
a single traveler full of hope.
You'll never find a man can claim
from whence it was this wanderer came.
But stroll into what town you choose
they'll have a tale of him or two.
In one small town the people weave
a story of his life's good deed.

"In yonder valley, there he found
a frightened child upon the ground.
I tell you now, he picked her up
looked around and started off.
For miles and miles he carried on
through quite a many dusks and dawns.
And then one eve he spied an inn
and left the girl there with her kin.
He packed right up and left that day
whistling a tune along his way."

"We once were set on by a beast
until one day this man we meet.
He heard our plea and said to pray
so he could find this beast to slay.
He built a trap and laid to wait
himself his only form of bait.
What happened next jsut isn't known
but beast is dead and he still roams.
We gave him thanks and gave him gold
he said true gifts, no man can hold."
