A messenger dove
Pleasant and peaceful
The color of white
Is aways beautiful
But some are caged up
In darkness, no light
But when they have to deliver
They spread wings and take flight
They are free, tis true
But how long will it last
More darkness in the future
And more to be past
When they get back
From doing their job
They're put back into darkness
So they sit and they sob
They cry and they weep
You don't see their tears
The pain is in the heart
No one near hears
Water does not
Fall from their face
It rain in their heart
Of a better place
The dove stands proud
Not knowing whats ahead
Because when the job is done
he know where to head
He heads back home
Whether darkness of light
but he knows one day
The future will be bright.
