I can remember, the dream.
On a chilly, summer night,
I had a dream unlike any other.
I was running a Day Care.
It was nap time.
Then a cute little girl walked thourhg the door,
Holding the hand of her dark stashed Father.
I sat up, unwillingly with a amile on my face.
"Welcome." i said sweetly.
With a twinkle in her eye, she reached out.
The young girl's hand, so fragile, so small.
I reached for her head, for a short hand shake.
I remember openeing my eyes to reality.
There was no littler girl standind beside my bed.
Insted, stood a tall, dark, smokey figure.
I remember panicking, not knowing what to do.
In fear, i ran and turned on the lights.
The figure dissapeared, never to return.
Even in the darkness, I never saw her agian.
The mystery of the youg girl still haunts my brain.
Maybe one day i'll find her and maybe know her name.
Maybe our lives are nothing but a dream themselves,
Only waiting for the dreamer to wake up,
And end the dream, never to return.
