How do I describe the feeling of despair?

I can show you an example...


Picture a room where the only light is filtering from slits in the shades. My limp body is curled tightly around a pillow, tears being the warning flare for my jaw to grab on to the fabric. The sudden images of people fly accross my mind...I try to hold on to one...but it slips away like a dust particle in the air trying to be caught with a single finger...

Bad prose, I know >>;

I just feel too much of a teenager sometimes...I try to become a better person, learn more, but it always seem so far away.

Most importantly, I need love...

I feel so empty, so useless, I want to feel the need for me by somebody else...
