Eyes like blue ice pierced her heart
Their depths full of mixed emotions
Love for someone, hate for another
Uncaring about all the rest
A mind lost in a pool of the unknown

Focusing on nothing
Yet caught up in everything
Friend to no one
But everyone's friend
His life is a muss of uncertainty

Like a little boy, lost
Almost unable to be found
She stopped him from going over the edge
A clatter of a knife hitting the floor
All the thoughts of death sealed away

Unkind words were forgotten
As she calmed his racking sobs
Unsaid words hung in the air
A boy afraid no more
Like a solid wall, ready to face life at its fullest

Realization of misdeeds
A life turned around
Discoveries of love in both hearts
And a best friend there to pick up the scattered pieces of a lost boy
Becoming a leader and character for others just like him
