Detective Story II

Setting: Empty space (Park, Field, Stadium)
Time: Mid Day
Who: Jerry Macey, Hit Woman 1, 2, 3, etc, Nico.

Jerry finds himself gazing into the distance, monologue-ing about Sam. He is wearing his stereotypical outfit.
Jerry (inner monologue)“Sam’s going to recover, Nico is in jail and it’s a nice day out.”

Hit squad leader walk up behind Jerry and tightens her glove. Jerry moves his eye as far toward her as he can without moving his head.
Jerry (inner monologue) “At least, it was…”
The leader begins to pull out a syringe and reaches to grab Jerry’s shoulder and thrust it into his back. As soon as her hand touches his shoulder he jerks away leaving only his coat in her hand and dives away from the group, turning to face them and drawing his weapon while standing. Three of the girls draw guns in response. Jerry raises an eyebrow, regains composure and continues to eye the girls. The leader tosses Jerry’s coat aside and crosses her arms.
Leader: “Guns aren’t really our style, but if you leave us no choice, we’ll just have to shoot.”
Jerry: “So the mafia sent you girls to get me now?”
Leader: “You have meddled in their affairs for too long Jerry; you even arrested Nico, the Russian’s son. The Italians aren’t happy with you.”
Jerry: “Well that’s too bad; he shouldn’t have attacked my partner.”

The leader smirks and pulls out five more syringes and throws them at Jerry. Jerry haphazardly dodges them by falling to the ground. The next Hit lady withdraws a sword and runs towards Jerry and tries to cut him. He falls back down and rolls around dodging the sword. Jerry has long since dropped his gun and now tries to get it back. He gets it back and fires a round into the swordswoman’s stomach, she lands her sword in the ground and clutches onto the handle for a moment then falls over dead.

Jerry struggles to his feet and just as he’s recovered the Hit lady of fighting charges at him and kicks him in the gut knocking him a few feet back and making him drop the gun again. She runs forward and kicks him in the ribs, making him roll. She continues to kick him around for a while and then puts him in a choke hold. Jerry struggles, flailing at the ground for something to use against her and his hand comes upon a syringe. He shoves it into her arm and injects it all. She freaks out and lets him go, she quickly pulls out the syringe and clutches onto her arm. “You jerk, you poisoned me!” She cries as she looks up at Jerry and meets his fist.

Jerry turns and looks at the leader, “Is this it? Is this the best you could come up with?”. The leader clenches her teeth, having just witnessed her two best taken down by a lowly cop. She draws her gun and points it at Jerry, with a pout she fires it. Jerry falls on his back, narrowly dodging the bullet. He reaches for his ankle and a gunshot goes off. The leader clutches at her chest and falls to her knees, then her side, ‘dead’.

Jerry stands up, pulling the derringer from his ankle holster he looks at it and sighs. Then walks over to his gun and picks it up. His cell phone rings and he picks it up. He looks around at the battle that ensued while talking and gasps, “What…Sam…didn’t make it?” Jerry drop his phone as he sees a figure in the distance. [Super Zoom to NICO] Nico grins widely with a sword in his hand. Jerry looks down at this feet where a sword lay stuck in the ground. He pulls it out and charges at Jerry yelling, “NICO!!!”
